The Consult
We talk through who you are, what you want, and what would feel right. The portrait starts before the camera comes out.
Commissioned Portraiture
Portraits made with the discipline of fine art, the intimacy of a sitting, and the intention of becoming artwork in your home.
The Invitation
A portrait is not just a photograph. It is a moment of recognition, when you see something true in yourself that the people who love you may have seen all along.
Each sitting begins with a conversation. We talk about who you are now, what you want to remember, and what version of you needs to live on your wall.
From there, we build the session around you: the light, the location, the wardrobe, the pace. Nothing templated. Nothing rushed.
The Experience
Every commission moves to the same quiet structure: a conversation, a sitting, and finished pieces designed for the rooms where they will live
We talk through who you are, what you want, and what would feel right. The portrait starts before the camera comes out.
Wardrobe, location, tone, scale, and any needed creative support are shaped around the final piece, not treated as afterthoughts.
A dedicated span of time in studio or on location, with hair, makeup, wardrobe, styling, or other support brought in when the portrait calls for it.
We meet again to view the work and design the archival print, album, or framed portrait you will live with.
Investment
Each commission includes the planning, sitting, creative direction, hand-finished editing, reveal, and finished artwork. The goal is not a folder of images. The goal is a portrait with a place to live.
The Artist
I create black and white portraits that feel honest, cinematic, and deeply human.
I work with both film and digital, but always with the same intent: to slow down, connect, and see what is really there. Black and white strips away color and distraction until what remains is presence.
Every commission is personal. Every image is made to matter now, years from now, and for the people who know you best.
Tell me what you are thinking about: the portrait, the timing, the reason it matters. I will reply within two business days.
